Initiating and co-ordinating fundamental strategic geodetic research in Switzerland
Advising on general policy-making of geodesy including education, and
in relation to general social developments
Stimulating the spread of geodetic knowledge to the open public
Stimulating, supporting and extending the geodetic infrastructure of Switzerland
Stimulating the introduction of new technologies and methods to the
geodetic community and open public
Maintaining and fostering contacts to international institutions such as
the International Association of Geodesy and the International Union of
Geodesy and Geophysics
